Product Description
Edison is a lego-compatible programmable robot designed to be a complete STEM teaching resource for coding and robotics education for students from 4 to 104 years of age. Note that the Edison is not an Arduino compatible robot, the programming is done directly from several graphical web sites and various free applications. Because the programming is done using the headphone port of your computer or tablet, NO DRIVERS are necessary!
The robot chassis and motor axes are compatible with LEGO components!
WINDOWS USERS MUST DISABLE SOUND ENHANCEMENTS!

The Edison robot is a powerful, engaging tool for teaching kids computational thinking and computer programming in a hands-on way.
With more built-in sensors than any robot in its class as well as lights, sounds and autonomous behaviour capabilities, Edison makes true robotics education accessible to students of all ages.
Not just a remote-controlled robot, Edison can:
- Detect and avoid obstacles
- Be controlled by a standard TV/DVD remote (not included)
- Follow a line or stay within a border
- Follow a flash light
- Communicate with another Edison using infrared light
- Play beeps and musical tunes
- Respond to clapping and other loud sounds
- Move forwards, backwards, left and right using two encoder-controlled motors.
The Edison V2.0 Robot has:
- A Line tracking sensor
- Light sensors (left and right)
- Infrared receiver
