This Arduino shield is based on the L298N H-bridge driver chip.
You can use this shield to drive two DC motors or one four-wire two-phase stepper motor. The power terminal on the board should be connected directly to a power supply that is capable of driving your motor. It is good practice to try separate your motor power supply as much as possible from your Arduino’s power supply. You can use separate power supplies if you need to but you must connect the 0v(gnd) signals from each supply to each other. This should be done with separate wires and as close to the supply as possible.
In many robotics projects wireless communication are used. This board has direct connections for XBee compatible components and also a 6 pin connector for the nRF2401+ modules.
The header pins are included with the shield but are not soldered in place.
