Product Overview
The HC-SR05 is an evolutionary step from the HC-SR04 and has been designed to increase precision and stability.
As such, the HC-SR05 is fully compatible with the HC-SR04, both are ultrasonic sensors that ping a sound wave with a transmitter and measure the distance that ping took to return to the receiver. The only difference between them is the HC-SR05 sensor has an extra pin labeled “OUT”, but for most practical purposes, this pin will not be needed.
