The most popular method to program games is to use the free and open source Microsoft MakeCode Arcade. There are many tutorials on the main page for students and teachers! Share your games with friends!

No drivers are necessary, plug-in the Meowbit to your computer's USB port and it appears as a USB drive. Just copy your game code onto it!
