This module is suitable for projects requiring a RS232 to TTL logic interface. It's bi-directional and ideal for use in pc interfacing, microcontroller based projects or for experimental and educational purposes.
Because the design of this board is based on the MAX3232, it operates at a broader voltage range than the MAX232 (3 - 5.5V), which means you can use this on both your 3.3 and 5V projects!
Connections:
You can also use the SoftwareSerial library and set different pins instead of the digital pins 0 and 1 (TX/RX) in order to avoid troubles with the microcontroller serial communication.
